Donor Thank You Cards for BHCHP’s Gala
For Boston Health Care for the Homeless Program (BHCHP), I made 10 different thank you cards from patients, for an interactive thank you wall for donors as they left the gala. I interviewed 10 patients in English or Spanish about why they were thankful for BHCHP and what message they wanted to pass on to donors, photographed the patients, designed the card, and worked with our vendors to bring the design to life.
ShowUp Annual Report
ShowUp is a nonprofit contemporary art gallery in Boston’s SoWa art district, supporting marginalized artists. I designed the report and drafted the majority of the content other than the letter from the executive director, including budget data for an internal, board-facing version of the report.
BHCHP Summer 2019 Newsletter
I wrote all of the stories for Boston Health Care for the Homeless Program’s thrice-annual newsletter from Fall of 2017 to Summer of 2019, including leaving six months’ worth of written material behind after I left the position for BHCHP to use after my departure, including the Fall 2019 newsletter.
Working with design firm Pangaro Beer, I led the redesign of the newsletter based on research into current trends in graphic design as well as data on audience response. The redesign features a patient-centric full-bleed cover, photographed by me, with greater emphasis on impact metrics. We took the newsletter from a three-column, black and white wall of text to a colorful, more graphic and photo-centric storytelling piece. The design is still in use to this day.
